Department Overview

Aviation services provides comprehensive aerial support across California to meet company objectives. This includes helicopter, fixed-wing, and UAS operations supporting all functional areas within PG&E.

Position Summary

The Aircraft Operations program manager overseas all aspects of program implementation and operations, ensuring effective and efficient program performance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create detailed business cases to support program initiatives, including cost-benefit analysis and resource allocation.
  • Establish metrics to measure and report on the program's success, providing regular updates to management.
  • Identify and maintain strong working relationships with all strategic programs and partners, fostering collaboration and synergy.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to support program objectives.
  • Identify new partners, technologies, and delivery channels to enhance program effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Develops new and ad-hoc reports, summarizes findings, recommendations and provides business insight.
  • Manages the scope of a complex program, identifies new partners, technologies, and delivery channels.
  • Presents findings and makes recommendations to management or others within organization.

Minimum Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business management. 
  • Six (6) years of related experience or equivalent


  • Extensive experience in program management
  • Proven ability to develop and analyze business cases.
  • Excellent budget management and forecasting skills.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to communicate findings and recommendations to various levels of management.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with demanding time constraints.
  • Knowledge and understanding of business drivers.
  • Ability to assess and recommend solutions for assigned projects.
