Position Summary

Lead a team responsible for key components of the Corrective Action Program (CAP) process within a line of business. These components address the capture, evaluation, and analysis (including root cause analyses) of asset-related failures, incidents, nonconformities, and other problems in a line of business; the development and completion of corrective and preventive action plans; monitoring and trending; and the overall coordination of related activities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Applies experience and knowledge to lead a team responsible for the evaluation and resolution of issues with the Corrective Action Program process; works independently on most matters and receives guidance from upper management
  • Ensure sufficient resources are allocated to support Cause Evaluations
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business partners within the various LOBs, as well as external regulators, such as the CPUC
  • Serve as member of the CAP Governance Committee, as needed
  • Identifies the developmental needs of leaders, and coaches and mentors leaders to improve their knowledge or skills
  • Oversees the incident analysis process and ensures teams drive process to identify actionable causes
  • Manages and create relationships with external vendors and/or internal stakeholders, and continue to identify best practices
  • Directs the development of framework for implementing tools and processes to improve quality and timeliness of reports
  • Analyzes work plan and schedules to reallocate resources or reprioritize program work
  • Coordinates with peers and stakeholders to develop a prioritized and optimized long range and annual work plan portfolio
  • Leads implementation of process improvements and efficiencies
  • Collaborates across the company to develop and support adoption of change management activities
  • Oversees the development of governance standards, processes and procedures to assure accurate records
  • Accountable for successful Lean deployment and sustainability in function



  • High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma
  • 8 years job-related experience


  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience
  • Leadership experience
  • Experience in quality assurance, quality management, or related
  • Experience in root cause analysis
  • Experience with process improvement tools, job-related
  • Experience in corrective action program management
  • Root Cause Evaluation certification
