Information Systems Technology Services is a unified organization comprised of various departments which collaborate effectively to deliver high quality technology solutions.

The Asset and Work Management team supports Salesforce Field Service, which is replacing our obsolete CLICK platform used to schedule and dispatch $3B+ of annual work. IT has distinctive opportunity to transfer knowledge from vendor resources to in-house dev/ops personnel to keep pace with pent up Gas & Electric Work Management demand. Our team will initially stabilize the app and establish regular cadence of enhancement releases. Team will then unlock capabilities including Mobile Integration, Emergency Management, Work Optimization/Bundling, GIS & CCSP Integration. The end game is to consolidate numerous scheduling & dispatch tools onto one common platform.

Position Summary

Designs, develops, modifies, configures, debugs and evaluates application programs leveraging the Salesforce platform for functional business areas. Analyzes existing applications and systems, formulates logic for new systems, devises procedures, database design, performs coding and tests/debugs programs. Consults with business analysts and architects to understand, anticipate, and meet current and future business needs. Modifies and configures applications/systems as specified in the requirements and/or technical design documents.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter who works well with all levels of the organization, is experienced in Salesforce development, is an effective communicator who can translate technical information into business terms for stakeholders; has a keen process understanding; works well with ambiguity; has high energy and is adept at overcoming resistance to change

Job Responsibilities

  • Administer development environments
  • Develop configurations (including custom objects)
  • Entity and data mapping for integration process flows
  • Use case and unit test plan development
  • Compliance with all quality control processes and measures
  • Contribute to knowledge transfer.
  • Develop Apex (classes and triggers), Lightning Components, and Visualforce to extend Salesforce to support business requirements.
  • Application development, including basic Visualforce pages/Lightning pages, Lightning Web Components.
  • Assist with each release cycle to implement and deploy new/updates to existing applications and code.
  • Contributing to technical documentation.
  • Maintain the security and integrity of the application software
  • Actively participate as part of an Agile development team.
  • Solutions may provide an opportunity for creative/non-standard approaches.



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Experience in programming analysis, 5 years


  • Proven knowledge of programming principals to enhance system performance
  • Experience with programming languages
  • Experience working on Salesforce platforms, Salesforce API or other CRM software packages
  • Salesforce Developer Certification
  • Working knowledge and experience with complex business systems integration as well as object-oriented design patterns and development
  • Experience and expertise in core web technologies including HTML5, Javascript and jQuery
  • Software engineering skills with Platform (Apex, VisualForce, SOQL, Unit Testing)
  • Software engineering skills with Java SE & EE (Java, JSF, SQL) preferred
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, and ETL tools
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies such as XP/SCRUM
  • Experience with web services (REST & SOAP, JSON & XML, etc.)
  • Experience with GIS/ESRI
