Position Summary
As an Expert Programmer Analyst, your role will primarily involve designing, developing, and maintaining solutions within the Salesforce platform to meet our organization's needs. You will work closely with stakeholders, such as business analysts and product owners, to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and either Oakland or San Ramon, CA offices approximately twice per month or more, based on business needs.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $129,000.00
Bay Area Maximum: $207,000.00
Job Responsibilities
- Utilize your expertise in Salesforce programming languages (Apex, Visualforce, LWC, Einstein) to design and create robust applications, integrations, and enhancements within the platform.
- Document technical designs, implementations, and configurations to facilitate knowledge sharing and enable efficient maintenance and support of solutions.
- Proactively identify bugs, performance bottlenecks, and other technical issues within Salesforce applications, and implement fixes to ensure optimal performance.
- Evaluate code written by other developers, provide feedback, and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Act as a subject matter expert in Salesforce development, offering advice, guidance, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical team members.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest Salesforce developments, features, and industry best practices to continuously enhance Salesforce solutions.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- Experience in programming analysis, 7 years
Desired:
- 5 years of hands-on experience in designing and developing solutions on the Salesforce platform, using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components.
- Possess Salesforce Certified Platform Developer (Dev 1) certification or higher.
- Proficient in Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components programming languages, as well as JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical problems, identify effective solutions, and implement them efficiently.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including project managers, business analysts, and other developers, and clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical team members.
- A meticulous approach to coding, with a focus on maintaining high standards of quality, scalability, and performance.
- A self-driven individual who actively seeks new information, keeps up with the latest Salesforce updates and best practices, and shares knowledge with the team.
Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions that align with organizational goals.
