Position Summary:

The Supervisor, ATS Business Operations oversees financial and operational activities including payroll, procurement of services and materials, vendor payments, vehicle desk, safety profiles, local business applications and administrative support for Applied Technology Services (ATS) and Electric Equipment Repair (EER).  The incumbent leads a team in the preparation and analysis of financial plans, forecasts, budgets and reports as well as administering various site operations programs and processes such as procurement, IT, fleet, safety profile governance and corporate real estate. She/he provides analysis and advice to support ATS/EER strategy and operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Determines financial status by comparing and analyzing plans and forecasts with actual results. Develops recommendations by analyzing results and variances and identifying trends, issues and opportunities. Presents findings and recommendations to ATS/EER leadership.
  • Oversees and directs team involved in monitoring, tracking, reporting, reconciling financial data and setting annual financial goals and metrics.
  • Increases productivity and promotes process improvement by implementing automated applications, eliminating duplications, coordinating information requirements.
  • Issues purchase orders by acting in a procurement capacity for external nuclear calibrations/repairs.
  • Ensures quality of procured products and services meet contractual specifications and other quality needs. Manages processes for ensuring that services provided are meeting the needs of ATS, following contractual guidelines and otherwise meeting the quality expectations for those services.
  • Ensures compliance with PG&E policies and guidelines related to payroll, procurement and personal expenses including the ESC labor contract and company standards.
  • Leads the ATS general rate case process. Writes testimony in support of witnesses, responds to intervener data requests, helps prepare the witness for testifying and analyzes final CPUC GRC decisions.
  • Acts as a liaison to Sourcing, IT, Telecommunications, Corporate Real Estate and property management, coordinating and managing systems and facilities activities for the ATS site. Provides oversight of local business/service delivery application including ongoing maintenance and upgrades. Prioritizes work of IT programmer as it relates to business applications.
  • Leads team of Administrative Clerks to ensure smooth financial and operational business processes including payroll, procurement, payments, records, vehicles, safety, business applications and general administrative support.
  • Leads special or cross functional projects, such as facility, repairs and relocations. Develops plans, determines scope, budgets, timeframes, forms teams, assigns tasks, manages resources and issues.
  • Supervises employees to accomplish results through effective recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management and rewards and recognition.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, related field or equivalent experience
  • 5 years in a Business and/or Financial Analyst role

Desired:

  • CPA
  • CME
  • Supervisor experience
  • Experience working with SAP modules (e.g. Controlling, Materials, Business Warehouse, DCPP and Procurement; Experience working with SRM procurement.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting and financial analysis concepts, methods, regulations, guidelines, practices and procedures.
  • General knowledge of procurement, quality control and corporate real estate terminology and practices.
  • Knowledge of several SAP modules: Controlling, Materials, SRM, DCPP and Business Warehouse to use in financial and procurement processes.
  • Strong influence skills with various audiences.
  • Strong analytical decision making and presentation skills
  • Ability to develop new and complex data models. Broad expertise in business and data analysis
  • Leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Understanding of the business to help drive decision making, and to recommend operational improvements
  • Strong project management skills to lead large, complex, cross functional projects.
