Department Overview
Information Systems Technology Services is a unified organization comprised of various departments which collaborate effectively to deliver high quality technology solutions. The organization is responsible for strategic technology planning, roadmap development, solution design, solution delivery, and solution support. The SAP Data and Analytics department provides data engineering services and support to all lines of businesses.
Position Summary
Defines how data will be stored, consumed, integrated, and managed by different IT systems. Partners with stakeholders to contribute and align with strategic direction and relevant architectures, technology standards and design patterns. Thought leader and information source for SAP data domain.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top half of the range described below, but the decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $140,000.00
Bay Area Maximum: $238,000.00
This position is of hybrid work type, and candidates needs to be able to come to in person to PG&E headquarters, 3 days a week, typically Tuesday to Thursday.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversees all Data activities during the detailed design, build, test, and deploy phases of SAP S4HANA migration project
- Leads the data conversion initiatives, ensuring accurate and timely migration of data from legacy systems to SAP S4HANA platform
- Oversee data quality and cleanup processes, identifying and addressing data defects across master and transactional data objects and ensures data integrity
- Designs and implements a data governance framework that aligns with the organization's data strategy and compliance requirements
- Manages data archiving and lifecycle management, ensuring structured and unstructured data is maintained and disposed of in accordance with compliance and legal requirements
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to support reporting and analytics requirements, providing insights and decision-making support throughout the project lifecycle
- Guides the selection and implementation of data management tools and technologies to support project objectives
- Creates and maintain a Data Management Playbooks, documenting best practices, processes, and procedures, roles and responsibilities, and policies
- Designs and implements Data Security roles and standards, and ensures compliance to SOX and IT controls
- Works individually and collectively with other domain enterprise architects to ensure breadth and granularity of strategies, standards, design patterns and roadmaps are consistent and integrated across enterprise architecture services
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
- 10 years’ experience in enterprise architecture
Desired:
- 8 years’ delivery experience in SAP Data Engineering and Architecture
- Proficiency and hands-on experience with SAP Analytics Cloud, S4HANA-Embedded Analytics, BW4HANA, CDS Views and HANA Modeling, Master Data Governance, Business Technology Platform, SAP Business Objects, Information Lifecyle Mgmt and Content Management Solutions.
- Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
- Data Warehouse Lifecycle Certification
- Data Warehouse Design Certification
- ITIL-Information Technology Infrastructure Library Version 3 certification
- IT-Information Technology Delivery certification
- IT-Information Technology Architecture certification
