Position Summary
As the Senior Director, Value Delivery, you will lead a transformative effort to optimize our strategy to realize value in order to support the company’s long-term growth while maintaining affordability for our customers. With the goal of improving our Cap/Expense ratio over a six-year period – representing $1-$2B in savings, you will spearhead the enterprise plan to deliver operational efficiency and financial performance.

Department Overview
The Business Finance teams provide financial planning and reporting services to PG&E and is responsible for providing strategic direction and coordination in respect to strategic functional area planning processes, financial planning, forecasting, analytics and reporting. This position serves as the enterprise lead for the Value Delivery strategy in support of our Simple Affordable Model. . The Senior Director position also plays a critical role in the broader finance transformation effort underway at PG&E, which include implementing new standards for reporting financial data and building more flexibility and resiliency into the enterprise planning processes while improving financial controls. Job Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Strategy Execution
- Build and lead a high-performing team tasked with building a plan that delivers the multi-year Cap/Expense ratio improvement goals
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to develop and execute strategies that align expense planning with projected growth while controlling costs
Outcome-Based Metrics
- Define and implement outcome-based metrics that empower operations leaders to deliver savings
- Provide clear visibility into annual progress and ensure alignment with the company’s financial objectives
Operational Playbook Development
- Leverage the Lean playbook to enhance adoption and enrollment across the organization, at all levels
- Create and roll out a playbook for operational teams, facilitating their understanding and adoption of expense strategy
- Ensure buy-in across various teams to promote sustainable, long-term improvements
Enterprise Expense Planning Strategy
- Lead the development of the company’s enterprise-wide expense planning strategy to ensure alignment with long-term financial goals
- Drive innovation in cost management across all business units
Executive Financial Updates
- Lead monthly updates with the Senior Executive Team, presenting on the progress, risks and opportunities associated with the multi-year expense strategy
- Ensure transparency and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making
Enterprise Reporting and Visual Management
- Design and implement enterprise-wide reporting tools to visually track progress against the expense strategy
- Enable operations teams to leverage lean management principles through visual management techniques to deliver cost savings
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $201,000
Bay Area Maximum: $343,000
