Department Overview:

The men and women of Electric Operations ensure the delivery of safe and reliable electric service to our customers. Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E’s electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration, and emergency response.

Projects and Construction (P&C) within Electric Operations is accountable for the delivery of greater than $2B in annual Capital work, stretching from programs like Capacity and Pole Replacements to State Infrastructure projects.  Work Readiness and Integration is Project and Construction’s centralized data insights and analytics team focused on in-depth assessments of P&C work delivery to aid P&C in the execution of our annual work portfolio and associated goals. 

We provide one source of truth for the data, with a common set of tools, methodology, and analytics.  Our span extends from portfolio planning in collaboration with our partner organizations on thorough daily workplan management to ensuring consistent, efficient data support needed for all P&C groups involved in work execution.

Summary:

The WR&I (Work Readiness & Integration) Data Integrity Manager ensures the accuracy of the fields within the P&C Workplan, while also looking to innovate and expand the dataset based on customer needs. This will require strong attention to detail, a deep understanding of order lifecycle and the ability to identify potential gaps. In addition to maintaining the integrity of the workplan, this position will oversee a team of analysts that will create tools to aid in the use of the Workplan including but not limited Data Flow Mapping, Data Dictionary, and Data Ontology.

The successful candidate will have a steadfast focus on safety and compliance, in-depth knowledge of PG&E’s operations, be comfortable leading cross-functional teams, maintaining strategic and analytical oversight, communicating with leadership as appropriate, developing partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring adherence to the appropriate work planning and execution processes.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location within the PG&E Service Territory. This position may require travel for on-site meetings and may also require occasional irregular work hours to meet deadlines.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​

A reasonable salary range is:​

Bay Area Minimum: $​132,000

Bay Area Midpoint: $179,000

Bay Area Maximum: $​226,000

Responsibilities:

  • Examines processes and works with staff and peer managers to develop improvements to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of daily workplan accuracy.
  • Solves unique and complex problems, anticipating issues and developing innovative solutions.
  • Drives attention and engagement around the Workplan to solve problems and develop innovative solutions when it comes to data integrity, and implementation of data from groups outside of WR&I
  • Partners with technology team to ensure that supporting data quality practices are implemented.
  • Partners with Sr. Manager/Director to support annual Order Detail Planning
  • Manages staff to accomplish results through effective recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management and coaching, and rewards and recognition.
  • Travel is approximately 10%, with occasional overnight stays.

Qualifications:

Minimum   

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or other relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Seven (7) years of relevant experience in areas such as: electric construction, maintenance, service planning, asset management, engineering, compliance, or quality control/assurance.
  • Leadership experience, 2 years

Desired

  • MBA with an emphasis in a quantitative (e.g. data analysis) or analytical discipline.
  • Prior experience with Electric / Gas Distribution or Electric Transmission programs or projects.
  • Deep working knowledge of SAP, Foundry and Salesforce
  • Prior experience developing partnerships with internal stakeholders across engineering, construction, and support ops.
  • Ability to lead large and complex projects working with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to create compelling business cases based on complex business environments and inputs
  • Adept at addressing issues with diplomacy and tact
