Position Summary
This is an ESC represented exempt classification currently subject to collective bargaining.
This job is the fully qualified, career-oriented, Senior Procurement Technical Specialist position that requires mastery of the journey level Procurement Technical Specialist job duties, at Diablo Canyon Power Plant (DCPP).
To obtain and maintain employment, you must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen, a security background check for unescorted access to a nuclear plant, psychological screen, and be subject to random drug and alcohol screening in fulfillment of federal requirements.
Right now this position requires you be in the local office 3-4x/week and at Diablo Canyon Power Plant monthly; this is subject to change, due to business needs.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range is:
California Minimum: $120,948
California Maximum: $171,396
Responsibilities
An employee who performs the duties of a Procurement Technical Specialist and may be required to perform such additional duties as supporting developing training programs, performing training, directing, reviewing, and/or approving the work of an associate or journey level Procurement Technical Specialist, and assisting supervisors in coordinating and scheduling work assignments. It is recognized that such duties may also be performed by non-unit supervisors.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- 8 years’ experience in related supply chain, nuclear power, or technical knowledge if PG&E or 9 years’ experience in the same field from another company
- A 4-year BS/BA Degree in a technical related discipline from an accredited curriculum in the US or the equivalent from outside the US or Possess one of the following Professional Industry Certifications: ISM Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), ISM Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) ,APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), NCMA Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM)
- Must pass the following training courses and possess qualifications if PG&E or pass training courses and obtain qualifications within 6 months of hire if from another company: EPRI Nuclear Procurement Training course, DCPP Systems Training course, DCPP qualification for Nuclear Quality Procurement Reviewer (ASME PROCURE) Mechanical discipline only
