Information Systems Technology Services is a unified organization comprised of various departments which collaborate effectively in order to deliver high quality technology solutions.
Position Summary
Designs, develops, modifies, configures, debugs and evaluates application programs for functional business areas. Analyzes existing applications and systems and formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, logical database design, performs coding and tests/debugs programs. Consults with business analysts and architects to understand, anticipate, and meet current and future business needs. Modifies and configures applications/systems as specified in the requirements and/or technical design document. Prepares and obtains approval of system and development documentation.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be at the Diablo Canyon Power Plant in Avila Beach within the PG&E Service Territory.
Working hours would be on a 4x10 schedule from Monday – Thursday within the hours of 6:30am – 5:00pm.
PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
The hourly rate for this position ranges from $33.17 to $52.40.
To obtain and maintain employment and unescorted access at DCPP, you must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen, a security background check, psychological screen, computer-based training, and be subject to random drug and alcohol screening.
Job Responsibilities
- Work Scope: This is a level learning to apply standard concepts and techniques to routine assignments with limited scope and risk. Follows existing Application Development Frameworks and Coding Standards. Adheres to IT Delivery Methodology. Participates in Change management and release management processes when implementing fixes to production.
- Problem Solving: Resolves basic and recurring application programming analysis problems of narrow scope within procedural guidelines. Assignments typically fall within standard, well-tested parameters for resolution.
- Internal/External Contact: Interacts with clients and project team members; typically includes discussing and reporting progress of fixes
- Freedom of Action: Seeks assistance from the supervisor or more experienced programmers/analysts on unusual or more `difficult problems
- Applies job skills and company policies and procedures to complete variety of assigned work
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- Experience in programming analysis, 1 year
Desired:
- Experience with .NET / C#
- Experience with SQL Server and Oracle database technologies
- Sound knowledge of programming techniques and application design
- Proven knowledge with programming principles to enhance system performance
- Experience with multiple programming languages
