Position Summary
The Risk Analyst is responsible for supporting an effective and efficient Generation risk management program. The position may include elements from each of the following:
- Consults across the line of business to analyze risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Serves as a liaison with the enterprise risk management function, ensuring alignment and common understanding of risks.
- Prepares reporting and analysis for the line of business and the enterprise.
- Responds to GRC and other regulatory data requests, including the supporting analysis.
- Responsible for data analysis that provides insight into generation performance trends.
- Updates and maintains Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) models
- Development and maintenance of various PRA Model applications including online maintenance risk assessment, Risk informed technical specifications, surveillance interval extensions etc.
- Establish a process using Jupyter notebooks to streamline the PRA model database and applications.
PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.
The hourly rate for this position ranges from $24.52 to $35.37.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Earning a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related engineering field
- Students must be continuing education towards degree during and/or after the internship
Desired:
- 3.0 GPA or greater in both cumulative GPA and major GPA
- Engineering experience in utilities, municipalities, construction, or engineering consultation
- Ability to work in a team environment and support fellow team members
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Takes initiative and can work independently with minimal direction
