Department Overview
The Lean Planning team within Lean Management is responsible for four key areas: (1) supporting and facilitating the company’s Business Plan Deployment Catchball process (2) cascading the company’s in-year Key Performance Indicators and work plans through Lean planning tools (3) prepare upcoming year’s senior leadership time architecture and drive enterprise performance management (4) coordinating and supporting the Run-the-Business Operating Reviews, including the L1 monthly Operating Review.
Position Summary
The Senior Analyst will support work stream three and own work stream four of the core processes.
The Senior Analyst will be responsible for supporting and leading the Run-the-Business Operating Review structure to drive effective in-year KPI reporting and escalations. Run-the-Business Operating Reviews consists of 16 different SVP and VP-level forums that meet every month.
We are looking for a self-starter who thrives on driving change by operating process excellence, connecting stakeholders across the enterprise and demonstrates problem-solving insights with limited oversight. Ideally, your work history demonstrates a strong background in process and change management and consulting with regular exposure to senior management.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and our Oakland, CA office 2 - 3 days a week (Tuesday and Wednesday required) or more, based on business needs.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $98,000.00
Bay Area Maximum: $146,000.00
Responsibilities:
Process Management
- Develop the overall annual time architecture including the calendar for the Run-the-Business Operating Reviews, L1 MOR and coordinating with other enterprise processes such as board preparation and Business Plan Deployment meetings.
- Lead process implementation and improvement for Run-the-Business Operating Reviews, methodically incorporating feedback from the senior leadership team and stakeholders.
- Responsible for the coordination of Operating Review materials and deliverables and the communication of process changes to stakeholders.
Meeting Operations:
- Actively support stakeholders as they develop their materials, making recommendations, assess quality and ensuring alignment to Enterprise Lean standards.
- Prepare materials for Run-the-Business Operating Reviews and L1 MOR materials
- Facilitate Run-the-Business Operating Reviews and L1 MORs, capture decisions made, action items, escalations, etc.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
- Job-related experience, 4 years
Desired:
- Strong Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Strong understanding of process and project management
- Ability to build cross-functional rapport and navigate through ambiguity
- Excellent communication, presentation, influencing and facilitation skills; proven ability to interact successfully with senior leaders
- Experience running a project/initiative that required extensive change management for successful implementation
- Strategic problem-solving skills to develop new, innovative solutions
- Excellent organizational, prioritization and multi-tasking skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy of materials
- Deep knowledge and expertise of business and or industry drivers
- Proficient in Power BI, key skills include data visualization, data transformation using Power Query, and the ability to integrate data from various sources.
