Position Summary
Provides operation finance support for business units and LOB leaders within a governance structure that guides business decisions, capitalizes on investment opportunities, reduces costs, and enhances operational effectiveness. Creates and drives Business Unit (BU) financial plans to meet financial objectives. Monitors and reports financial results. Provides recommendations for decision making. Provides financial, operational, and regulatory decision support. Ensures compliance to financial and regulatory policies. Identifies and drives cost and productivity improvements.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and the Oakland General Office(OGO) 1-3 days a week and or based on business needs.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum:$78,000
Bay Area Maximum:$116,000
Job Responsibilities
Interprets data, reports and records for managers/stakeholders.
Performs data quality assurance to ensure accurate data is used in reports, databases and files.
Creates the Monthly Expense & Capital Spending (ECS) program variance explanations and program forecasts.
Supports and provides advice on the following major financial endeavors: Integrated Planning Process including cost center (PCC) planning, target setting, and order detail planning; multi-year business plan deployment (BPD) planning; and program forecasts and trends.
Provides forecasts, tracks forecast accuracy and explores means of improving forecast accuracy.
Manages PCC cost management and headcount reporting.
Analyzes and explains revenue or cost variances.
Communicates (oral and written) with peers inside and outside of the department, providing information or exchanging data.
Assists in developing and tracking metrics that provide data for process measurement, business operations or risk assessment.
Qualifications
