Position Summary
The Treasury Operations Director oversees cash management operations including daily cash positioning, the processing and disbursement of payments to vendors for goods and services, and to employees for expense reimbursements. Ensures the effective, efficient and accurate functioning of systems and processes. Manages Accounts Payable operations including vendor payments, ensuring timely payment and adequate controls, as well as administration of the company card program. Represents and advocates for Treasury operations in cross-functional projects including Business Continuity Planning, IT implementation and prioritization, and other forums as required.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be Oakland General Office.
Reporting Relationship
This position reports to the VP, Internal Audit and Treasurer, and will have a team 20.
Job Responsibilities
- Monitors new banking and payments products and makes recommendations, as appropriate.
- Develops and presents ad-hoc and prepared presentations to senior management on a variety of treasury operations initiatives.
- Develops and leads a team of managers, supervisors and analysts through assignments and provides prompt and constructive feedback on individual performance through employee goals, and development and training plans.
- Oversees daily cash management operations.
- Partners with Sourcing, IT, Human Resources, and other business partners to drive high performance from the payment systems and ensure payment accuracy. Contributes strategic business and process understanding to help inform Companywide decisions on time collection/reporting, payments and system changes.
- Develops and maintains appropriate internal controls for Accounts Payable including cybersecurity risk management for payments processes. Ensures compliance with all external laws and regulations and internal policies

Compensation
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $178,000
Bay Area Maximum: $304,000
Background Qualifications
Minimum
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field of study or equivalent work experience.
- 12 years of job-related experience
Desired
- Experience in a large-scale company
- Experience in regulated utility.
- Knowledge of Accounts Payable processes, procedures and best practices.
- Knowledge of Accounting, Auditing, Internal Controls, SOX 404.
- Knowledge of Kyriba and SAP or other ERP Accounts Payable and Purchasing modules (e.g., EDI and Electronic Invoicing and Concur).
- Experience with SAP implementation, including S4Hana
- Exceptional leadership qualities, demonstrating ability to build and manage high-functioning teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to influence and build relationships with a successful track record of working collaboratively with teams.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of payments and treasury management principles and practices.
