Department Overview
The Capital Markets team within Treasury executes financing transactions in support of PG&E's capital and liquidity requirements; assists the Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer in managing the company's relationships with the financial community (banks, credit rating agencies, etc.) and regulators; and services the company’s debt instruments.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Assistant Treasurer, the Treasury Expert Analyst will provide analytic and transaction support for the securitization portfolio as well as project manage all future securitization transactions from the time of regulatory approval through issuance. Typical projects may include spreadsheet modeling of the cost-effectiveness of various financing alternatives, analyzing new securitization transactions, preparing presentations to senior management and credit rating agencies, responding to investor questions, SEC and Trustee reporting, maintain debt compliance, administration, and reporting, and providing ad-hoc analysis.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned location based on business needs.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $118,000
Bay Area Maximum: $188,000
Job Responsibilities
- Analyze financing opportunities using sound analysis to drive optimal decisions to minimize financing costs and enable smooth liquidity management
- Present recommendations to Treasury leadership with strong written and verbal communication
- Manage securitization debt portfolio with limited oversight including ensuring timely payments and maintaining compliance with financial agreements
- Support leadership in managing and leveraging relationships with credit rating agencies, lenders, and other key stakeholders
- Complete timely and accurate reporting to management, SEC, rating agencies, and regulator related to and administration of PG&E’s financing obligations
- Assist in streamlining processes and procedures across the organization, including identifying opportunities through new technologies and/or financial products
- Special projects as assigned by Manager, Assistant Treasurer, or Treasurer
Qualifications:
Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business or related discipline
- Requires a minimum of six years of accounting, financial, or business related experience, including advanced analytical experience
