Position Summary
The VM Constraints Management Team is responsible for establishing processes, tools, and reporting to help reduce dependencies (i.e. Permitting, Customer Interferences, Environmental Review) that arise during PG&E Vegetation Management work. The Customer Escalations Vegetation Program Manager within the Constraints Management team will be responsible for owning and managing the processes and reporting for customer interferences and customer refusals. The timely resolution of customer escalations ensures electric system safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance with state and federal rules. The incumbent may also serve as a subject-matter expert, providing guidance and education, or influencing leaders in the industry (PG&E, other utilities, or other decision-makers) on regulatory issues and program strategies. Work includes coordination with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure resolution of constraints in order for Operations to manage vegetation proximity to PG&E assets.
This position follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to report to their assigned office location at least one day per week. The remaining days may be worked remotely, depending on business needs. The headquarters location is flexible between either Oakland or San Ramon.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company, in good faith, believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the job's locality. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, particular skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired for this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision regarding these factors will be made on a case-by-case basis. This job can also participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $126,000
Bay Area Mid-Point: $163,000
Bay Area Maximum: $200,000
Job Responsibilities
• Manage the processes and reporting for customer interferences and customer refusals.
• Work under supervision from the Senior Manager of the VM Constraints Management Team.
• Coordinates and guides challenging processes with internal stakeholders, including VM Operations and Law. Work with PG&E contractors to problem-solve, track, and resolve customer interferences.
• Works independently on highly complex issues.
• Provides direction on the overall program plan and goals within a specific geographic area of operations. Oversees in-depth quality assurance final reviews and contract drafts.
• Works with managers and directors across lines of business to influence decisions and meet goals.
• Guides less qualified PMs and various contractors.
• Creates new and complex data models to facilitate business decisions.
• Develop new or revise existing guidance documents.
• Reviews and approves funding and purchase orders associated with complex projects.
• Develop budget forecasts and business cases. Analyzes support for identifying budget variances and solutions to address.
Qualifications
Minimum:
• Bachelor’s degree in a job-related discipline or equivalent experience
• 6+ years of job-related experience
