Department Overview

Information Technology (IT) is a unified organization comprised of various departments which collaborate effectively to deliver high quality technology solutions enabling our PG&E business partners to provide safe, reliable and affordable services.

Position Summary

IT ERP Functional Analyst, Associate is responsible for gathering business requirements and developing SAP solutions in PG&E Supply Chain area and is well versed with all phases of the software lifecycle, including business process analysis, systems analysis, business process blueprinting, configuration, development, testing, cut-over preparation, end user training, and go-live activities as well as post go-live system and end user support. They will work with the team of functional, technical experts and consultants responsible for configuring SAP modules and other applications required to support Supply Chain.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​

The salary range for this position is from $60,000 to $90,000

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze low complexity business processes and information needs of the client.
  • Understand major areas of the client’s business environment.
  • Discuss requirements and deliverables with the client and/or the Lead FA.
  • Discuss, document and implement alternative solutions to low complexity business problems.
  • Provide timely and professional responses to client inquiries and ongoing application support.
  • Document issues and resolutions that do not require IT change requests.
  • Document low complexity business requirements.
  • Apply functional knowledge to the design and configuration of the ERP system
  • Write functional design documents
  • Perform quality reviews of test results
  • Perform low complexity configuration of ERP system
  • Comply with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and other standard process requirements.
  • May perform various additional activities, such as operation, maintenance, background job, interface support
  • Write test plans, test scripts, and perform testing

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering or related field of study, or equivalent experience.

Desired:

  • 1+ years of experience in similar or related job functions (Information Technology or Business).
  • Participation in projects of medium complexity
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience with Supply Chain
