Department Overview

Enterprise Business & Technology Modernization is a cross-functional organization leading PG&E’s Propel program, a major business and technology modernization initiative designed to unlock customer value by simplifying collaborative work processes. Propel will migrate PG&E to the new version of SAP, S/4HANA, presenting a unique opportunity for PG&E to standardize business processes, clean the technology core, and enable innovation for breakthrough change across Engineering, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Human Resources, and Information Technology. Through a phased approach, Propel will implement process standardization, operating model changes, data improvements, SAP, and other technology applications with a focus on incrementally improving business capabilities and delivering value.

Enterprise Business & Technology Modernization is comprised of multi-disciplinary coworkers with deep functional and industry expertise to design and implement end-to-end business processes and technology solutions following industry-leading practices. The team partners closely with IT and external partners to work collaboratively with many stakeholders to adopt standard processes and maximize the use of out-of-the-box proven technology solutions to meet business needs. Position Summary

The S2P Program Manager, Principal will play a pivotal role in PG&E’s Propel program, leading the implementation of key supply chain initiatives as part of our broader business and technology modernization efforts. This role requires a deep understanding of Source to Pay (STP) processes and solutions including requisition to approval, PO management, CLM (Guided buying, catalogs, services procurement, accounts payable and supporting systems (Ariba, SAP.) The ideal candidate will possess the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration to achieve strategic objectives and will be responsible for ensuring alignment with Propel’s goals of standardizing business processes, enhancing data quality, and enabling technological innovation for the future state STP design.

Reporting Relationship 

The S2P Program Manager, Principal will report directly to the S2P Business Strategy, Senior Manager. 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned location based on business needs. 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​ 

This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.  

A reasonable salary range is:​ 

Bay Area Minimum:      $140,000       

Bay Area Maximum:     $238,000

Job Responsibilities

  • Recognized STP subject matter expert who represents PG&E procurement teams and stakeholders in the overall Business & Technology Modernization program.
  • Supports all project phases as representative of the procurement process in design workshops, socialization, and confirmation, business requirements for L3/L4processes.
  • Facilitates socialization of future state design concepts with peers.
  • Validates/confirms business requirements against documented regulations and procedures.
  • Identify gaps and cross functional design requirements and solve unique and complex problems, anticipating issues and developing innovative solutions.
  • Coaches and mentors less experienced employees
  • Collaborates across the organization to ensure alignment of goals to support program.
  • Responsible for utilizing other departments and teams to meet program goals.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • 10 years of related experience or equivalent

Desired:

  • Proven track record of successfully working in cross-functional projects and teams.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong change management mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • PMP Certification
  • Ability to use understanding of the business to help drive strategic decision making, and to recommend operational improvements
  • Ability to lead the largest most complex projects across the line of business supported (i.e. Customer Care, Human Resources, etc.)
  • Deep knowledge and expertise of business and or industry drivers
  • Ability to lead large and complex projects working with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to create compelling business cases based on complex business environments and inputs
  • Adept at addressing issues with diplomacy and tact
  • Travel may be required.
