The Revenue Controls and Policy team is responsible for the integrity of customers’ bills and payments through rigorous testing, monitoring and controls. This includes guidance on complex policies impacting revenues and representing the Company in high-impact forums to maintain trust and transparency for our communities. Additionally, we collaborate with municipal, county, and state agencies to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
Position Summary
The Revenue Controls & Policy team is seeking a talented summer intern with insatiable curiosity to create breakthrough outcomes. This intern will be responsible for a wide range of responsibilities, including assisting with projects and research, and utilizing technology and tools to enhance standards and processes.
PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.
The hourly rate for this position ranges from $19.91 to $36.42
Responsibilities
- Assist in compiling information for operational reviews and presentations to leadership
- Support the management of compliance requirements inventory
- Conduct research including the review of Tariffs and Advice Filings
- Provide innovative suggestions to improve efficiency and business outcomes.
The successful intern will have the opportunity to lead and/or support activities as described above working closely with a team of experienced business analysts. Additionally, the intern will gain knowledge of the broader Customer Experience organization through their work.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Qualified candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in the fields of Business, Engineering, Public Policy, Information Sciences/Systems or related majors at an accredited University
- Students must be continuing their education towards their degree during and/or after the internship
Desired:
- 3.0 GPA or greater in both cumulative GPA and major GPA
- Experience in the utilities sector
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Completed academic college school projects, 3 or more
- Participated in college summer internship, three or more years
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Takes initiative and can work independently with minimal direction
- Basic skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
