Summary: As the Senior Manager of Data Quality & Analytics, you set the strategic direction for how Electric Compliance captures, manages, and leverages data, ensuring the organization has access to accurate, timely, and actionable insights that drive confident decision-making. You lead efforts to govern, acquire, and standardize compliance-related data, building the systems and practices needed for regulatory visibility, operational clarity, and risk mitigation. You bring deep analytics expertise, aligning data strategy with business goals and enabling smarter, insight-informed operations. By connecting systems, stakeholders, and standards, you elevate data as a strategic asset, fueling forward-looking compliance strategy, enhancing performance measurement, and supporting PG&E’s commitment to regulatory excellence.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​

A reasonable salary range is:

  • Minimum Base Salary (Bay Area)            $147,000.00
  • Mid Base Salary (Bay Area)        $199,000.00
  • Maximum Base Salary (Bay Area)           $251,000.00

  • Minimum Base Salary (California)         $140,000.00
  • Mid Base Salary (California)      $189,000.00
  • Maximum Base Salary (California)        $238,000.00

Responsibilities:

  • Define and Lead Data Strategy: Set the strategic direction for how Electric Compliance manages, integrates, and leverages data across regulatory, operational, and system domains.
  • Optimize Data Acquisition: Oversee and enhance data acquisition methods, integrations, and source systems to improve consistency, quality, and traceability.
  • Establish Data Governance and Quality Standards: Develop and implement governance frameworks, quality controls, and stewardship models aligned with enterprise policies and compliance needs.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Collaboration: Drive coordination with Data, IT, Engineering, Operations, Asset Strategy, and Regulatory teams to ensure data is audit-ready and fit for regulatory filings and risk analysis.
  • Enhance Data Quality: Identify and remediate data quality issues through root cause analysis, corrective action planning, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Grow and Empower Teams: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing compliance data team responsible for data intake, quality assurance, and system integration.
  • Advance Compliance Data Visibility: Partner across the compliance organization to deliver foundational data that supports dashboards, metrics, and performance insights.
  • Drive Process Innovation: Lead efforts to automate data ingestion, streamline lifecycle processes, and modernize data infrastructure to improve speed, accuracy, and insight.
  • Communicate with Clarity & Authority: Engage confidently with executives and stakeholders, translating complex data and reporting requirements into clear, actionable communications.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Econometrics, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Applied Sciences, Statistics or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 3 years of years data operations, data management, data strategy, data reporting, data analytics or job-related experience
  • 8 years of job-related experience

Desired:

  • Experience in the data organization of a utility or energy company
  • Prior involvement in supporting regulatory filings or data-driven compliance programs
  • Experience with enterprise data lake/warehouse platforms and ingestion pipelines
  • 10+ years job related experience
  • 5 + years leading teams responsible for data quality, acquisition, or integration
