Summary: The Sr. Manager is responsible for leading the Major Project Management team for Transmission Line and Substation projects located in the Bay / Central area, having an annual project portfolio range of $300-$400 million. The position location is flexible within the Bay / Central Region and will report to the Sr. Director of Major Project Management Transmission Line and Substation. The successful candidate will be responsible for all major project management activities including but not limited to safety, forecasting, milestone key unit attainment and must be forward thinking and able to manage a team and large capital projects effectively.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.
A reasonable salary range is:
Minimum Base Salary (Bay Area) $167,000.00
Mid Base Salary (Bay Area) $225,000.00
Maximum Base Salary (Bay Area) $284,000.00
Minimum Base Salary (California) $159,000.00
Mid Base Salary (California) $214,000.00
Maximum Base Salary (California) $270,000.00
Responsibilities:
- Leads a team of primarily Project Management Supervisors in the successful execution of capacity, maintenance, and reliability capital projects.
- Responsible for safety, quality, cost, delivery, scheduling, scope, morale, and client/customer satisfaction.
- Works cross-functionally with peers and leaders to promote teamwork, streamline processes and improve efficiency to effectively manage the capital project portfolio for assigned functional area.
- Coordinates regularly with peers to develop and implement industry-leading project execution policies, practices, and procedures to ensure high-level quality and transparency in communications.
- Develops and delivers recommendations on tools and processes to continuously move the department toward a more mature project management model to improve effectiveness and financial performance.
- Regularly presents to leaders and stakeholders on project scope, schedule, cost, and risk management information.
- May participate as a member of the Incident Command structure during times of significant events, such as storms, earthquakes, etc.
- Seeks process improvement opportunities to reduce duplication of effort and improve work quality.
- Manages staff to accomplish results through effective recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management and coaching, and rewards and recognition.
Qualifications Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
- 8 years of total related experience
