Job Summary
Schedules and manages airplane, helicopter and UAS flying schedule for all aviation operations at PG&E. This includes scheduling flights using an electronic platform, revising and canceling of flights, working with external vendors according to weather, customer, coworker requests, government regulations. Advises the appropriate personnel of potential delays or cancellations. Verifies work completed and manages invoices and accounting associated with contracts. Participates in department safety management system. Provides clerical and administrative support to the department manager or director, including data management and reporting. Rotates on call for storm or emergency response.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location 3 days a week based on business need.
PG&E is providing the salary range that can reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
Pay Range display:
Bay Area – $93,000 to $127,600
Job Description
• Schedules, potential immediate/unplanned, and/or emergency airplane, helicopter, or UAS.
• Tracks flights and collaborates with vendors to ensure adequate resources are available and escalated issues are resolved.
• Assesses vendors based upon specific criteria, such as type of airplane/helicopter/UAS, pilot, task liability, etc.
• Coordinates necessary resources in emergency situations.
• Provides training, guidance, and instruction of lower job level Aircraft Schedulers.
• May provide administrative support to aviation services management
Qualifications
Minimum
• High School diploma or GED
• Five (5) years of related experience, including three (3) years of experience scheduling airplane, helicopter or UAS flights.
Desired
• Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Dispatcher certificate.
• Six (6) years of related experience including four (4) years of experience scheduling airplane, helicopter or UAS flights
• Prior experience utilizing aviation monitoring and tracking technology
• Ability to coordinate and manage emergency and/or crisis situations
• Knowledge and experience with FAA regulations
• Knowledge and experience with aviation monitoring and tracking technology
• Proficiency and experience with aviation scheduling systems and applications
• Knowledge and experience with time reporting
• Knowledge and experience with project management
• Analytical and critical thinking skills
• Organizational skills • Oral and written communication skills
