PG&E’s Enterprise Protection organization demonstrates our commitment to addressing evolving threats and complex cyber and physical security risks. We seek to continually improve our services through strategic deployment of our resources, standardizing security practices and policies, and reinforcing and promoting security awareness across the enterprise.
Position Summary
Delivers information security services in support of PG&E's enterprise security goals and objectives. Utilizes a variety of commercial and custom tools and processes to provide information security services and intel. Designs improvised solutions on the fly when dealing with active threats. Produces metrics and statistics that feed complimentary processes within the PG&E landscape such as risk assessment, OSINT monitoring, weekly crime reports, and trend analysis.
This position is 100% onsite at the Security Control Center in Vacaville Monday - Friday. 7am -4:30pm
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top half of the range described below, but the decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $122,000.00
Bay Area Maximum:$194,000.00
California Minimum: $116,000
California Maximum:$184,000
Job Responsibilities
- Monitors social media platforms for physical threat intelligence as it relates to PG&E assets
- Use intelligence feeds to maintain situational awareness to identify, track, and monitor emerging security threats and trends regarding threats to PG&E, the utility industry and US critical infrastructure
- Designs and implements improvements to current security services, tools, processes, and procedures
- Perform complex system administration tasks (e.g. customization, cross-tool integration) for security tools
- Prepare briefs on strategic intelligence issues for senior management
Qualifications
Minimum:
- High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma
- Job-related experience, 4 years
- Experience in Cyber and or Physical security intelligence or related practice
Desired:
- IT-Information Technology Security certification
- Intelligence Certifications or Otherwise as applicable
