Department Overview
The Corporate Security Department (CSD) is part of the Enterprise Protection Organization within PG&E. Our mission is to protect the people, assets, and facilities of PG&E. The department includes physical security, security asset and technology management, risk and strategy, security operations center, critical infrastructure protection and compliance, investigations, emergency response and executive protection teams. Given the criticality of the infrastructure and facilities, PG&E has several compliance obligations at the federal, regional, and state level. We work together internally and in concert with each functional area and supporting partners to provide security, based on identified risks and compliance requirements.
The Critical Infrastructure Protection & Compliance (CIPC) team develops physical security, risk, and compliance solutions, defines appropriate levels of protection, risk reduction strategies, standards that guide the civil and technology-based playbook, investment planning, and ensures programmatic compliance within CSD and across each functional area. We identify current and future risks to develop mitigation strategies. Govern and forecast portfolio scope and scale, and asset protection roadmaps to execute prioritized security and risk reduction plans.
Position Summary
The Data Governance Analyst develops data governance policies, standards and procedures, designing and implementing training on standards and procedures. Facilitates the adoption of the established enterprise data governance framework to various lines of business and generates compliance reports to measure adherence to enterprise data governance standards.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
The salary range for this position is from $68,000 to $102,000
Job Responsibilities
- Assists in developing and deploying data governance framework/standards consisting of data policies and processes in the areas of data ingestion, data movement, data quality, master data and data life cycle management.
- Assists in coordinating with various stakeholders across various organizations to apply established data governance framework (developing data stewardship, data custodian roles, data dictionary, metadata management, and access controls).
- Assists in ensuring remediation plans are implemented where data fails to meet established data governance framework/standards.
- Assists in developing monitoring processes and conducting continuous reviews of data assets to ensure those data assets where data governance framework was established continue to be in compliance of the framework.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering or related field of study, or equivalent experience.
